Eventful Weekend for BMI Racing at the Duel in the Desert LOORRS Race

TOOELE, UT, April 16, 2019 – BMI Racing loaded up the two Gear Off Road Prolites and headed to Chandler Arizona for Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Super Clean Duel in the Desert presented by Rockstar Energy.

Practice on Friday was challenging with Sarah suffering damage from a rough driver in the first session and Bridget having a major crash in the third and final session of the day. The team had their work cut out for them but worked hard and had both trucks ready for qualifying on Saturday afternoon.

Qualifying proved to be a challenge for Sarah in the #97 Gear Off Road Prolite, as she was unable to post a time, and would be starting from rear of the field. Bridget overcame her crash from practice the day before and would started 11th on the grid in her Gear Off Road Prolite

The green flag dropped, and within 3 laps Sarah had the BFGoodrich KM3 tires hooked up and managed to move up 9 positions to 7th place, showing great speed in her Gear Off Road Prolite. Unfortunately on the exit of turn 3 on lap 7, she suffered a major crash and put her out of the race finishing 15th.

Bridget still banged up and bruised from her roll over the day before, put a great effort in to muscling her Gear Off Road Prolite around the Wild Horse Motorsports Park racetrack with an 11th place finish

BMI Racing head south of the border to Ensenada Mexico for the next round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series 5th Annual Rockstar Energy Battle South Of The Border Presented By Lucas Oil. Sarah will be showcasing the Axalta Racing colors for the first of five rounds this year.
