TOOELE, UT, March 20, 2019 – The BMI Racing team headed to Glen Helen Raceway for the first round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series General Tire SoCal Shootout presented by K&N Filters.
Practice kicked off on Friday with Sarah and Bridget showing good pace in the large and competitive ProLite field. Due to timing issues through qualifying, LOORRS set the line up to the points standings from 2018.
The green flag dropped and the field of 17 prolite trucks went roaring across the start line. Sarah’s race started off well as she maintained her 10th position, navigating her way around the track and working on moving forward. Unfortunately, Sarah and the Gear Off Road Prolite suffered some shock issues two thirds through the race ultimately finishing 10th.
Bridget also represented the Gear Off Road brand at Glen Helen Raceway for round 1 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Bridget is now running the new LS3 EFI Engine package and showed good pace on the tricky Glen Helen Raceway course finishing 13th.
Sarah and Bridget Burgess are looking forward to round 2 of short course offroad racing when the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Super Clean Duel in the Desert Presented by Rockstar Energy heads to Wild Horse Pass in Chandler AZ on Saturday 13th April.
